Editorial policy
Short answer: Our guides are written for leaders at behavioral health groups. Each one opens with a short answer, shows its publish and update dates, and ends with a Sources and updates section that says what to confirm and with whom. Guides on clinical, legal or billing topics get sign-off from a qualified reviewer before we promote them.
Who are the guides for?
Practice owners, administrators and clinical leaders at behavioral health groups and MSOs. We write in plain English and explain terms in our list of key terms.
How are guides sourced and dated?
- Each guide shows the date it was published and the date it was last updated.
- Each guide ends with a Sources and updates section that names who to confirm rules with, such as state boards, payers or legal counsel, and the month it was last checked.
- When we change a guide, we update its date.
How are clinical and legal guides reviewed?
Guides on clinical, legal, regulatory or billing topics are reviewed by a qualified professional in that field before we promote them. Once a reviewer signs off, the guide names the reviewer and the review date.
How do we show CE approval status?
CE approvals are pending. Courses list approvals only once they are granted, and guides describe topics, not credit.
Is a guide professional advice?
No. Guides are general information only, not legal, tax, financial or medical advice. Confirm rules with the sources each guide lists before you change practice policy.
What about sample data?
The team progress panel on our home page shows illustrative sample numbers for layout. They are not customer data.
How do we fix mistakes?
If you spot an error, tell us through the contact form. We review it, correct the guide and update its date.
Who publishes the guides?
Hourglass CE, an Arche Studios company. Read more about Hourglass CE.
